Luce is in the dining room patiently waiting for us to sit down. The amazing thing here is that he has never table surfed or counter surfed for that matter. That is not the case for Luce little buddy Lyla. She would have been all over those plates in a hot second if left alone.
Happy sixth birthday to Luce and his 4 brothers. Spring is here and Luce is enjoying it so far. Deep down he probably knows that this means that summer will be coming and the hot weather that comes along with it.
This is up the street from our house and fortunately this neighbor loves dogs so they do not mind him on their lawn.
Sometimes he gets cheeky and will crouch down to get me to play with him. Usually that ploy works and we play the maul dad game. We call it that because anyone watching would think I am being mauled by a wild bear.
All in all Luce does not really do all that much. He tends to make lazy dogs seem like they are the active ones. Here he is doing what he does best which is making himself comfortable where he is likely to be in the way. All that said, he is quite a good watch dog and will bark loudly if someone comes to the door.
It’s still winder here in Georgia but spring is trying to break its way through. Our neighbors down the street have hundreds of tulips planted all around their property. While on a walk Luce and Stacey stopped to admire them.
We got a new table an Stacey decided that in front of the window would be the perfect place for it. Luce is not amused and could not disagree more. He figures if he has to deal with it, he will do his best to show his displeasure by making it look like it is strangling him.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we decided to take a trip to the beach for Christmas. As it turned out, a cold spell hit the southeast so it was not quite the “fun-in-the-sun” trip it maybe could have been. Luce absolutely loved the weather and was full of life at the beach. It was below freezing but he did not mind even a little bit. In fact, one morning, it was 14°F and he wanted to play outside.
Luce is not qiute sure about the Chrismass Tree this year. This is out first Christmas season in the house and for the first time in Luce’s life, the tree is out in the open. In out previous house, we only had room for a small table top tree so it he did not really have to deal with it. He seems to be OK once the initial shock wore off.
Luce is not really a big fan of anything that give off heat. He probably only came in the room to see what all the commotion was about. Once he saw that this was not something he would want to be near, he placed himself on the other side of the room and took a rest.
Luce probably though is would never come, but here we are, fully in fall now. The cooler weather is much more to Luce’s liking. Here, were are just down the street from our house and Luce stopped for a quick break.
This is a site dedicated to the best dogs ever. Of course we are referring to Bernese Mountain Dogs. Obviously this is an extremely biased opinion but we don’t care, this is our site.
