Luce and I had a lunchtime adventure to Los Gatos, CA to go to the Apple Store and to Bunches florist. As usual, it took a little time to get my questions answered there and to pick up a headset adapter cable but Luce knew the drill and made himself comfortable during the whole affair. Then it was off the the florist across the street. Unfortunately, they do not allow dogs in the store, probably due to the pet duck they have in there, so he had to wait outside. This was good “down-stay” practice and he did great. He stayed in exactly the same spot which I knew because I could see him the whole time.

Luce really likes to ride in the car with his window down so he can rest his head on the bottom of the window. What makes him the ultimate car dog is that he keeps his paw on the arm rest. This seems to allow him to remain steady even when we might need to stop.

Happy New Year from the Beach! Luce got to run around at dog beach in Santa Cruz on this first day of 2018. He can really take off when he wants to and spent much of the time running around with the other dogs that were there. Here, he slowed down enough to get a good picture…

…but then turned right around back to the fun:

He got curious about a Dobbie name Seargent and said hello:

We were not there very long but never the less, it tired him out for a while.

We went to the Stanford Shopping Center for a little “after Christmas” shopping and of course, Luce got to socialize. Since it is about 45 minutes away, we first stopped at the Rosewood Sand Hill to let Luce stretch his legs a bit. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary there a few years back with our sweet Coco so we knew our way around. Our first stop at Stanford was Nordstrom and here is Luce taking a little time to rest:

He is very good in a down-stay as long as he cannot see Stacey, then all bets are off and he wants to get to her. While we were waiting for a bit, we tried our best at a mirror selfie:

Luce must have been thinking I was getting a treat for him or something. Later, Stacey was having a chat with Luce, or maybe trying to give him a kiss, I’m not quite sure:

Later, we took a stroll though Neiman Marcus and Luce took a little rest in from of the Chopard salon:

After that, we walked around quite a bit. Luce got to look around in the Cartier store and as usual, he was great. All in all, a very good day and Luce got very tired out. Luce è il nostro cane molto buono!

Here, Luce is sleeping in one of his favorite spots to nap. It doesn’t look all that comfortable and he has many other softer places to be, but he seems to like it here.

Well, Actually, I went to a meeting and Luce went along for the ride. Afterward, we took a nice walk around the buildings and came across this office where we stopped for a minute. Maybe it looked familiar?

Happy nine month Birthday! Here Luce is doing his best sit-stay in the middle of one of his daily walks. We are on the linear park that surrounds our development here in Scotts Valley.

Yesterday we had a weigh in at the vet to see how he is filling out. He weighed in at 89.8lbs so his grown has slowed way down. We think he is probably getting close to his full grown weight.

Well, more accurately, where’s Luce? If not for his white blaze and white tip of his paw, he would be totally camouflaged. When I am working he likes to lay at my feet, under my desk. The funny thing about it is that I am often surprised that he is there because I usually do not hear him come in and lay down. Maybe he is part cat?

Luce was sitting in my office getting lots of attention from Stacey when she had to get up and do something. Luce hung there for a minute looking in the direction of where she was last seen:

Probably thinking, “Now why did you leave, I was really enjoying that attention”.

Stacey and Luce did great for the photo as I am sure you must agree. Not quite sure about the rest of us.
