Luce has taken a liking to the same toy rooster that our sweet Coco liked. This one is a little bigger than Coco’s but otherwise exactly the same. He has not been allowed to have the soft toys most of the time as he wanted to just bite off pieces and swallow them. Today, he played nice for quite a while and didn’t try to destroy it. He did want to play tug of war with it with me but I had to extinguish that quickly since he would have pulled it apart.
Luce still likes to lay like a “little puppy”. He seems to be most comfortable in this position and when he does it on the tile floor, you can hear it because his claws scrape the floor as he flips his hind feet over.
Please keep good thoughts for, and send positive energy to, Luce’s brother Max who is feeling under the weather right now. Luce is very much looking forward to seeing him this summer in Lake Tahoe.
Luce got to play with his friend Hiro today. They must have been taken after Luce’s 10 minute active period. After that, he like to lay down. Hiro didn’t quite get the message so they still played.
Happy First Birthday Everyone!!! Well it’s Luce’s very first birthday along with his 4 brothers. We only are able to keep in contact with one of Luce’s littermates, Max. He is doing very well and we will hopefully get to see him again this summer. It is unfortunate that we don’t know how the others are doing, but hopefully they are doing well. Luce is “blowing his coat” right now so the house has to be vaccumed all the time. Stacey thinks his coat “è brutto” right now but I think he is “molto bello”. Here are a few pictures as Luce looked from his left to his right out front in the driveway so you can decide for yourself.
Luce has re-discovered Stacey’s side of the sofa in the TV room. He used to go there when he was a little pup but would never stay long. We think that he got too hot back then. Not sure what has changed but he is not getting too hot now. Well, if he is, he isn’t showing it.
I had to go on a business trip this week and Luce and Stacey had to stay at home. Apparently Luce did not take it too well and stayed by the door waiting for me to come home. Stacey took these pictures of the poor (not so) little guy on the first day I was gone.
After a while he got a bit tired though but still held the line.
This is a site dedicated to the best dogs ever. Of course we are referring to Bernese Mountain Dogs. Obviously this is an extremely biased opinion but we don’t care, this is our site.
