Luce Digs His First Hole
Thursday, August 3rd, 2017After watching Max have fun digging a hole, Luce decided to give it a try.
He didn’t get to far when he figured he needed a rest. Hey Dad, could you move a little closer, I need a little more shade.
Max, Pull Your Head Out of the Sand
Thursday, August 3rd, 2017Luce watched brother Max dig a small hole and proceed to put his head as far in as it would go. Luce didn’t seem to understand what Max was doing so he just hung there and watched. He probably remembers the bucket incident where Max got his head stuck in a bucket so he wanted to make sure that didn’t happen again.

Thursday, August 3rd, 2017At first, Luce was closer to the ocean which seemed just fine until something scary happened…
… the water came in. Not a big wave or anything mind you, but just a small ripple. That was enough for Luce to decide he needed to move. Max on the other hand was like “Bro, whats the deal, its a little water, your not going to melt, grow a pair bro.
When the trouble had passed, Luce decided to move to higher ground, and stay there.
Luce and Max Mouthing Each Other
Thursday, August 3rd, 2017Luce and Max were under the table while the rest of us were having a nice breakfast. They “mouthed” each other for several minutes. The following set of pictures does not capture the moment fully but shows some of it. Regardless, it was really great to see them loving on each other that way.

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017With no prompting whatsoever, Luce and Max laid down butt to butt. Barron stayed off to the side near Max.

At one point Luce and Max seemed to bump noses which seemed like a “high five” of sorts. I wonder if they finally recognized each other then?
