On our first evening, we met Luce’s brother (and his family) for dinner. First, we had to pose for a picture:
Max spent most of the time sitting there looking at me which provided the perfect opportunity for a good picture:
We met up with Maximus (or Max, who is Luce’s brother) in the Lake Tahoe area along with Baron and the rest of their human family. Here is a picture of Luce and Max on the grass:
Here are Luce, Max, and Baron (and me) resting a little after running around. We tried in vain to get a picture with just the dogs but it was like herding cats.
We took Luce for a little ride on the Gondola that goes from our hotel to the main base area of Northstar and back. Luce was a little hesitant to get in as the gondola does not stop does not stop when getting on or off. He stayed low during the ride so we could not take a picture of the 3 of us. Here are Stacey and I:

While moving it was nice but it slowed way down each time they were loading/unloading which got a little stuffy. The view was nice though:
Afer another hour and a half we finally arrived at our destination and as you might have guessed, Luce found a nice comfortable spot to rest:
While taking a little walking tour of Old Sacramento we decided to stop at a Starbucks for a little refreshment.
Luce was very good with the whole process right up until something unexpected happened. Which was a woman parked her cart a few feet away from us:
Luce must have through there was danger and let our several deep and loud barks. This made a few people nearby jump. We were able to calm him quickly but we learned we have more training to do.
We took a bit of a trip recently. Our first stop was to Sacramento and Luce did very well. Here he is taking a little rest after a long couple of hours on the road:
Our hotel was fairly close to the capital building:
but it was a little rough around the edges a few blocks away.
In our final episode, our hero strikes back… Well, sort of. The barking told that mean old ball who is boss, but, the hiding under the desk… Not so much.
In our next episode, our hero does his best battling with his newfound arch enemy.
There was a new addition to the house the other day in the way of a large exercise ball that Stacey is using. Luce did not take too kindly to it. In our first episode, Luce meets the “Ball”
