Luce Having fun with the Garden Hose

Tuesday, August 29th, 2017

Luce really like running water like from the shower or a hose. Oddly enough he does not seem all that interested in bodies of watter be they big like the ocean, or small like a kiddy pool. If you watched the video of him at the “Parks & Rex” event, he went for the fountains and ran though the ankle deep water. Here is a video or him drinking from the garden hose that was suspended outside for him.

Famous Luce Hanging Out By the Chair

Even though Luce is now a local celebrity, all that fame has not gone to his head. He was more than willing to pose for a few pictures for the paparazzi as you can see here:

Luce Era Sulla Televisione Oggi

Sunday, August 27th, 2017

Luce was on TV today. He was briefly shown on the local news coverage of the “Parks & Rex” event at Simkin’s Family Swim Center. The coverage was broadcast on Sunday Morning News on KSBW but is also on their web site. Click Here to see it. Here are a few screen snapshots:

Luce’s Day at the Pool

Saturday, August 26th, 2017

Luce attended the “Parks & Rex Event” at Simkins Family Swim Center. It is a fund raising event to benefit local kids and shelter animals. We signed Luce up for 15 minutes in the warm water pools. He really liked the shallow kiddy pool with the water fountains as he could drink all he wanted like here:

It was fun for him and apparently people there wanted to take pictures of our “Cane Bellessimo”:

Here is a video of Luce splashing around with Stacey:

In case you are in the area next year, here is some information about today’s event:

Happy Five Months Today. Our (not so) little Luce is 5 months old. This was not actually meant to be  patriotic picture, but it kind of came out that way. Then again, Luce is a proud american of immigrant parents.

Park Bench Revisited

Sunday, August 20th, 2017

Luce got to take a short rest from his walk to sit on a park bench:

Lets take a ride in our way way back machine 7 years: This is the same bench that Coco and Ruby liked to take a break at and sit on for a while.

Luce Goes to Dog Beach in Santa Cruz, CA

Saturday, August 19th, 2017

We took Luce to Dog Beach in Santa Cruz, CA (also known at Lighthouse Beach). It is one of the few beaches in which dogs are allowed to be off leash for a few hours in the morning. As usual, he was popular and several people and dogs came over to meet him.

He got to run around with several new friends. It was very cool and overcast so he did not get too hot.

This Husky liked Luce and had a great howl. Luce was probably wondering where his brother Max was.

Here us a close up of Luce and the Husky:

After 15 minutes or so, Luce decided to take a rest on the cool sand.

Luce got to meet some nice girls at Starbucks in Los Gatos

Saturday, August 12th, 2017

When we were at Starbucks in Los Gatos (CA) on Saturday, Luce got to meet up with some nice girls. They had fun giving him some attention and he seems to enjoy it as well.

When they were leaving, he watched them pack up and go:

Happy 20 Weeks, Big Boy

Thursday, August 10th, 2017

Well, 20 weeks has arrived and we finally have to retire the collar that Luce arrived with. It was a sad occasion but a necessary one that kind of caught us off guard. Luce actually fits into Ruby’s Swiss Traditions collar. Ruby was not that small so we know that Luce is one big boy:

Here is the collar by itself. I don’t think Luce minds wearing a hand-me-down and I know our Ru-Ru would have loved Luce and happy to pass this down. She always seemed to want a pup of her own.

Luce Sitting Up for Mamma

Thursday, August 10th, 2017

Sorry for the delay in posting. I just finished changing servers from my old trusty Sunfire V100 to a not so old MacMini. This is a little scary as I am changing from my nice warm and trusted Sun Solaris Unix to Ubuntu Linux. Anyway, back to the fun stuff: Luce gets very excited when he gets to run around at the gym. He still wants Stacey to pick him up but I think he knows he is just too big now. Here he is sitting up to greet her:
