First order of business is to get Luce out of the crate. He really like to be held for a while which is getting harder and harder which I assume you can see why based on his size. As you may have seen in previous posts, he settles in and seems to try to make it as easy as possible.
After that, it’s off to the field for a little running. What it really amounts to is chasing Stacey as she runs back and forth. This picture is proof that Luce does actually do more than just lay around.
Luce had a fun time today playing out in the woods. Unfortunately, he picked up lots of burrs and fox tails that Stacy had to pull off one by one. He also got pretty dirty so he got his second bath when they got home. We didn’t get any action shots when he was getting lathered up or rinsed out, but did get a few when he was getting dried off. He did much better with the dryer this time.
Happy Seventeen Weeks. As you can see, Stacey is hanging in there, bound and determined to hold our baby bear. We think Luce knows he is too big for her so he seems to try and balance himself on her.
Big adventure today to Nordstrom in San Jose. First was a visit to Starbucks in Los Gatos where he got to meet a 6 month old Pomeranian pup who was not afraid of big dogs and wanted to play. Then a stop to the vet for a weekly weigh in. Then off to the mall. Here are Luce’s rules for the mall:
#1 Walk through like you own the place
#2 Be Friendly, but NOT Too Friendly
#3 In Case You Get Tired, The Fitting Rooms Are a Great Place To Grab a Quick Nap.
#4 And This is Important…If You See Someone Who Looks Official, Do you Best Impression of a Bear Skin Rug. They Probably Sell Them So They Will Never Notice You Laying There.
#5 Once The Coast Is Clear, Resume Your Normal Activity, Which In My Case, Is Just To Lift My Head Up.
#6 When You Get Home, Take A Well Deserved Nap
Since we live in Northern California, there is not a very big lawn, but it is mine and I really like it:
I also like to eat a little grass now and again. Grass is legal here isn’t it?
Happy 4 months, or 16 weeks, whichever you prefer. Well, Stacey was able to pull it off for one more week. The pics were taken very quickly, before her back gave out:
Of course, you can’t just hold this teddy bear without giving him a kiss, or bacio as we call them
When I moved around, Luce watched and snuggled in:
Luce taking a nap with his favorite antler (naturally shed in case you are wondering).
Since the little bear gets hot, we have stone tiles he can lay on to cool off a bit.
Just one more kiss please
Luce likes to just chill. He is good being carried around or just being held as I am sure you have seen. Here we are on the porch:
and here is Luce crashing on the nice cool tile:
